When you GET EXCITED about your life, you GLOW, and people will want what you’ve got! Getting Excited also means that you are willing to do the work that will CHANGE YOU AND YOUR LIFE for the BETTER.

HOW TO GET EXCITED ABOUT LIFE? Make no mistake you will have to choose to STAND UP and FIGHT to have the life YOU DESERVE.

Yes, sometimes that can be scary. You will have to fight your old outdated beliefs, other people’s beliefs and opinions, including family and friends; and society and the media’s beliefs about who you are and who you should be.

It’s time to STOP throwing PITY PARTIES and START throwing a JOY-FULL party every time you accomplish something new – that’s something to celebrate!

HOW TO GET EXCITED ABOUT LIFE? So, let’s get to the HEART of the matter: if you are not EXCITED about your life, WHY NOT? Really take a moment to think about it. Stop where you are now (except if you’re driving) and let your life up to the current point run through your mind like a short film. Stay open and non-judgmental.

At the end of the movie, get out a piece of paper and start writing down what you want to CHANGE, no matter how big or small it is.

Tips for How To Get EXCITED About Life:

1. Pat yourself on the back and give yourself Kudos for what you have accomplished in your life so far, no matter how small you think it is.

2. Wake up in the morning and GET EXCITED about your day by energizing yourself.

  • I recommend exercise, especially if you can take a walk or a jog so that the cool breeze of the morning air will make you feel alive.
  • Yes, we know this can be a challenge, especially when you just want to pull the pillow and covers over your head.
  • Just moving your body first thing in the morning gets the kinks out, erases the fuzz of sleep from your mind, and puts you on purpose.
  • Jump up and down, run in place and do some deep breathing and say out loud, “I AM GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE!”
  • Affirm something that you are currently focusing on like, “I AM EXCITED I’M GOING ON VACATION!” or “I AM EXCITED ABOUT MY NEW PROMOTION” or “I AM EXCITED ABOUT THE GREAT GUY I JUST MET!”
3. REMIND yourself about your DREAMS.
  • Put REMINDER NOTES on your walls, mirrors, and doors affirming what you want to accomplish.
  • Update your Vision Board if you have one and look at it every day. Remember you have to take steps towards making your dreams real; they can’t do it by themselves.

4. Write in your journal all the things you are GRATEFUL for and all that you dream of doing in your life.

  • This is a great time to create the infamous BUCKET LIST. If you haven’t seen the movie, rent it today!
  • Start doing things you don’t normally do. We tend to get stuck in a rut of doing the same routines over and over and in most cases, we don’t change them unless we hit a wall and that’s going to hurt… and it’s supposed to.
  • The Wall is something that makes us pay attention such as losing a job, a death in the family, or a health crisis.
  • Don’t wait until you hit the wall to start doing something different.
  • Getting EXCITED about life may be a foreign concept to many of us because we are generally not taught that life should be exciting; instead, we are taught that life is hard, difficult, and complicated.
  • Getting EXCITED may take a while before you are comfortable with this attitude because those around may think it’s strange but this is your life so you might as live it well so you can create an Amazing Life.
  • However, attitudes can be contagious and your new EXCITEMENT may help your friends and family GET EXCITED about their lives as well.
